Sadly, on April 2, 2017 MELT lost one of its founding members, Mike Miller. Mike traveled to Malawi in March of 2015 as a member of a three person team from First Presbyterian Church of Watertown on a fact finding trip for the Outreach Council. Mike's passion for all children to have access to education was evident during the trip and upon returning to the US, as he became a founding member of MELT.
While in Malaw, Mike participated in school visits and met with teachers, government officials and children. While on a visit to the Clint McCoy Community Center, Mike assisted in fitting the children, who go there for a meal and lesson time, with new shoes. His joy in helping others radiated throughout his work with MELT.
